Ephesians 5:8
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of the light.”
Jesus proclaims that He is the Light of the world, which is so mind blowing because that is such a big promise! He promises that if we follow Him, we will never be in the dark about who God is, what us humans are made for, and that the radiation of His Light will cleanse and heal us.
We used to be darkness when we didn’t know or follow Jesus, but now we are in the light because we know and follow Him. But what does it mean to live as children of the light?
If we were created to be like Jesus and He is the Light, then the verse in Ephesians is confirming and encouraging us to live as Jesus did; loving, trusting, obeying, and giving ourselves away through
Selfless,
Sacrificial,
Servant,
Love!!!
