Can I Get a Watt Watt?!

"I am the light that NEVER goes out"
I think that light is something that we definitely take for granted these days. Think about it, you walk in a room and you flip a switch and you can see once again, if you cant see something in the depths of your closest there's a nifty little flash light on your phone, or the power goes out we burn candles. That just names a few, and yet this claim that Jesus makes that he is the light of the world still leaves me in awe of him. Time and time again all these light sources will fail us as they go out or die, but Christ is eternal and his light can never be burned out or switched off. Following him we will never be left in darkness.

Sometimes I definitely wish that God had just given us a whole master plan of what life would look like. I would most definitely felt more prepared for this current situation if that had been the case, but obviously that would not lead to any growth or maturity of my soul. So as it goes, I am working on being thankful for the step by step, day by day, year by year growth in which Jesus is revealing his father and his father's plan to me. He is calling us into moment by moment obedience.

I loved when DJ said We cannot follow Him down the road unless there is change and all change we experience as loss, the great temptation is to want to go back, but by God's grace he has new plans that he wants to guide us through. I hope we remember this as we walk through this uncharted territory and let him illuminate the path before us, for only his light will never be overcome.
